Project Description
Birthday Exhibition at the Israel Museum, celebrates 50 years of the museum by extending the notion of a birthday through art and experience. The key idea of a birthday is expressed through a large scale installation of “birthday presents” in which you can walk into them or view a huge cake from without. The idea is elaborated by a linear circulation reveals gradually the place of the ‘self’ in a birthday celebration with the complex emotions involved. The reflection of this event on ideas of time, scale and body construct a dual layed exhibition aimed for children and adults as one.
we created custom made prints on lighted fabric rooms, interactive video and a huge ‘birthday table’ collecting various art objects as presents.
