Site specific art installation, Lud 2021
Bustan. Is a garden, a private territory with fruit trees. In Persian it means “a place of smell”.
PROJECT DETAILS
Project: art installation part of zumu Lud
Materials: This art installation consists of a lemon tree, earth and a double sided fence: the outside is white and opaque while near the tree awaits a bench and a golden surface reflecting the sun.
In lud, all houses have a fence. It is usually taller than me. I walk in the streets, trying to grasp some of the hidden worlds inside. The streets smell of the unseen Lemon trees planted carfully on the otherside of the fence, marking a bustan: a private territory and a place of smell.
Lud 2021 research photography:
During the past months I took part in an artistic residency in Lud, part of ZUMU the museum on the move that was planned to open during June. The museum is a collaboration between art/ communities and education- a wonderful opertunity to melt border and connect through art. Just day before the opening, the situtation in Israel and mixed cities as Lud snapped and the project was cancelled.
